Alec Jackson my he Rest in Peace.

SIR ALEC JACKSON a PNW Steelhead Legend, Icon and master FlyTyer has passed on to join other greats walking heavens "Elbow Hole" below his beloved Deer Creek on the NF of the Stillaquamish. Alec was instrumental in saving The precious native Deer Creek Steelhead after its slide decades ago the very run of fish responsible for both Roderick Haig Brown and Zane Greys first caught steelhead early in the 20th Century. He taught his unique style of tying to a generation of anglers and was a steward of our sport. I had the opportunity to hang out with him at his house and with Walt Johnson they were my favorite story tellers.... Alec literally kept key parts of our sport living and breathing, alive thru his passion....RIP Sir Alec we miss that mischievous glint in the eye already....We have lost a Giant in our sport
