More on the evening at the Pickford Film Center a fly fishing documentary film showing.

As featured in the recent edition of the Heritage Resources Newsletter, Western Libraries is delighted to collaborate with the Pickford Film Center in co-sponsoring the opening night of a documentary film series entitled “Doctober” on October 1st.   The event will feature a screening of “Kiss the Water,” a documentary film about Megan Boyd and her expertise in fly-tying.   In conjunction with the film, Heritage Resources will provide a small exhibit of our fly fishing books, flies and other realia.   These featured items will be housed in a secure exhibit cases donated by the Whatcom Museum for our use that evening.   Additionally, select images from the collection of noted fly fisherman and photographer Ralph E. Wahl (housed at the Center for Pacific Northwest Studies) will be streaming on the big screen prior to the film’s start. A review of “Kiss the Water” is available here.
