The Host André Paradis

For more than 30 years, André Paradis has found harmony when fishing on Gaspésie and Bas-St-Laurent salmon rivers. Since age of 12, he spent his summers on one of its most productive rivers, the Matane River. It is, under the guidance of his prodigious uncle and mentor, Dr. Arthur Fradette, that he began his apprenticeship and gradually mastered the techniques of salmon fishing. For 20 years, Andre has been documenting his relationship with nature and Atlantic Salmon through various artistic mediums. Always in quest of a new inspiration and with a deep desire to learn, he is guided by his passions. As a self-taught professional, he navigates between photography, modern sculpture, design and digital mediums, always pushing the limits of his own creativity. His portfolio of photographic work includes many private, institutional and commercial clients. Parallel to his artwork, he has maintained a privileged relationship with the Atlantic Salmon, by fishing in many different rivers and by being a guide in Gaspésie for the past ten years.His experience ensures the quality of the production and professionalism of a broadcast documentary series
