The Washington State Senate Natural Resources & Parks Committee will hold a hearing

The Washington State Senate Natural Resources & Parks Committee will hold a hearing next Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at 10:00AM to discuss our recent Puget Sound steelhead hatchery litigation and settlement. The hearing was called by the committee chair, Senator Kirk Pearson (R - Monroe) and Wild Fish Conservancy was invited to provide our perspective.  The hearing will also include presentations from WDFW, Puget Sound Tribes, NOAA Fisheries, recreational fishers, and fishing businesses. At his hearing there may be NO other invited speakers voicing support for wild steelhead, but there will be time for public input. Would it be possible for you to spread the word about the hearing to your group? This is a great opportunity for others to tell the Committee that they support rivers managed for wild fish, not hatchery fish.
More info about the hearing can be found on our website: wildfishconservancy.org/about/press-room/press-clips/show-your-support-for-wild-steelhead-at-senate-hearing
